Dominik Draženović
Former Croatian national rugby 15s and 7s player with experience playing club rugby in New Zealand. As a player, he developed interest in how human body works and how human performance can be optimized. Because of that he started his university education with degree as a bachelor of nutrition ( thesis in sports nutrition ), followed by finishing Medical school and becoming MD, both at the University of Zagreb. Currently in the residency program in Cardiothoracic surgery at the University hospital centre Zagreb ( KBC Zagreb ). Combining current and past education with experience as a rugby player he enjoys being doctor of Senior Croatian rugby team and helping develop protocols for prehabilitation, injury prevention, rehabilitation and players health welfare, both at state and club levels. Combining wide range of skills and knowledges, some acquired during formal education and some during his playing career, he developed interest for sports medicine and lifestyle medicine which are kind a similar thing but for different people groups and different objectives and goals. Interested in using new technology and data mining, he tries to predict future injuries/health problems and prevent them with creating personalized and participatory plans considering individual biological-psychological-social-spiritual needs and demands.
